Disordered Eating
It is not a choice and can affect people of all ages, genders and body sizes
Disordered eating is a broad term used to describe unhealthy eating behaviours that can have a negative impact on your physical and mental health. It is not a diagnosis in itself but rather a spectrum of behaviours ranging from mild to severe.

Do you often notice yourself checking your body and experiencing a sense of dissatisfaction? Or have you tried various diets in an attempt to reach an ideal body shape that all too often feels elusive? Or are you thinking about food or weight consistently, to the point where it feels like a burden?

Disordered eating can be caused by various factors, including genetics, family history, stress, and low self-esteem. It can also be triggered by life events such as a significant loss or a change in body image.
If you are struggling with disordered eating, it is important to seek help. Remember, disordered eating is not a choice and can affect people of all ages, genders and body sizes. I understand how lonely and isolating it is to experience disordered eating. You don’t have to go through this alone.
My approach is holistic and personalised, rooted in various evidence-based practices.

I use psychoeducation, providing information when information is what you need to make a change.
I challenge and encourage you when ingrained patterns of behaviours are re-emerging, and I offer support and guidance when you feel lost.
It’s also important to mention that the most important ingredients come from you: motivation and commitment.
I know it is not an easy road, yet living a fulfilling life is possible, so I encourage you to get in touch.
